An optional liquid-conditioning operation

Vacuum deaeration equipment

A vacuum vessel provides conditions for entrained and dissolved gases to leave the liquid. Product pumps, the gas-handling circuit and level control are coordinated so the treated juice can move to the following process at the required flow.

Balance gas release with continuous liquid discharge

Juice enters the selected vacuum-contact arrangement while the gas circuit removes released gases. Vessel level and the product outlet must work together to maintain the operating condition without interrupting downstream supply.

The appropriate duty depends on incoming gas, temperature, viscosity and foaming. A deaerator is selected for a defined liquid-conditioning objective; a vessel volume or a vacuum reading alone does not establish the outlet result.

Assess gas removal alongside the product response

Compare inlet and outlet juice using a suitable sampling method and the agreed oxygen or air-related measurement. Where aroma matters, include the product response and the vapor or condensate route in that evaluation.

Avoidable air entry upstream should also be addressed. Free falls, leaking suction connections and unsuitable tank agitation can add a load that is better reduced at its origin. Downstream transfer should not immediately reintroduce the exposure the process is intended to control.

Include the liquid and gas circuits in the equipment scope

ConnectionProcess purpose
Feed supplyStable liquid delivery at its actual operating condition
Vessel and level controlCoordinate inventory with gas release and outlet pumping
Vacuum circuitHandle released gases and the selected condensation duty
Product dischargeReach the receiving equipment without unsuitable suction or air entry
Cleaning and drainsReach product-contact parts while isolating the appropriate gas-side equipment

Keep instruments and pumps accessible

The vertical arrangement requires service access around gauges, ports and the upper connections as well as the floor-level pumps. Include valve removal and instrument checks in the installed clearance.

Cleaning, drainage and restart should restore the selected circuit condition before normal production resumes. Deaeration can support a chosen process, but it does not replace thermal treatment, packaging validation or a suitable storage specification.

Questions about this equipment and process

Is deaeration compulsory on every pomegranate line?

Include it where the actual gas, foam or downstream process duty calls for it. Evaluate the selected operating condition and product response before fixing its position in the line.
