Define what the clarified outlet must achieve
State the relevant clarity or suspended-material measurements and how colour and sensory response will be assessed. Consider the downstream use and packaging requirements alongside appearance.
Characterise the feed before selecting the separator. Coarse seeds, peel and preparation residues should be controlled earlier in the process.
Compare different separation mechanisms
A disc clarifier uses centrifugal settling. Filter-aid filtration uses a prepared permeable layer. Ultrafiltration separates across a membrane. Their operating and service requirements are not interchangeable.
Use the same representative juice to compare outlet quality, retained product, solids or concentrate handling, run duration and cleaning recovery.
Include the equipment around the separator
Confirm feed buffering, pumps, outlet collection and waste or retained-stream handling. Include access for service and the selected cleaning arrangement.
The proposal should explain why the chosen route meets the product target and which trial data support the duty. A fixed clarity or yield promise cannot be inferred from the machine name.
