Juice extraction

Extract juice from a controlled aril feed

The extraction section begins at accepted prepared arils. A continuous belt press creates a liquid stream and retained wet material; the inlet, collection and discharge arrangements are part of the machine selection.

Specify the material actually entering the press

State whether the project starts with whole fruit or accepted arils. Record preparation losses separately so an extraction result is not mistaken for a whole-fruit recovery result.

Aril condition, membrane carryover and consistency affect the working layer on the belts. Use representative feed when comparing a pressing arrangement.

Compare a complete pressing duty

Assess feed distribution, belt and roller arrangement, juice drainage and residue removal together. A nominal machine description alone does not establish juice quality or a fixed extraction recovery.

  • Record aril input, collected juice and wet residue over the same run.
  • Compare the agreed colour, suspended material and sensory criteria.
  • Include belt washing and accessible residue removal in the layout.

Connect extraction to the next liquid operation

Use a buffer or process vessel to manage a defined flow difference, not to conceal an unresolved bottleneck. Specify the juice outlet, transfer pump and downstream inlet as a connected duty.

Clarification is a separate selection based on the required juice character. Not every juice route needs all available separation machines.
