Three incoming materials, two supply scopes
Whole-fruit intake can use an elevator, brush washer and inspection belt. The opening and aril-preparation stage remains a separate operation between those machines and the juice press; its supply and waste interfaces belong on the process drawing.
| Incoming material | First operations | Connection to the supplied process |
|---|---|---|
| Whole pomegranates | Reception, washing, inspection, then opening and aril preparation | Prepared arils supplied to the extraction section |
| Prepared arils | Receiving, inspection and controlled feed | Belt pressing and juice collection |
| Extracted juice | Receiving or upstream transfer and buffering | Selected clarification, concentration or thermal treatment |
From the press to the finished juice route
The belt press separates juice from the prepared feed. Collected juice moves through a controlled transfer into a buffer or process tank, while wet residue leaves by a separate route. The tank provides a level-controlled connection to the next operation, rather than forcing every downstream machine to follow momentary changes in aril supply.
A cloudy route retains the intended suspended material after suitable removal of unwanted coarse solids. A clarified route uses the selected disc separator, filter-aid filter or ultrafiltration system. Process-tank treatment may be added when the juice needs it for the required separation result.
Add concentration where the product requires it
An evaporator removes water from a suitable juice feed and sends concentrate onward under controlled conditions. It changes the liquid duty for subsequent pumps, heat treatment and filling. The concentrate route therefore has its own material balance and utility demand even when it shares extraction with a juice line.
Vacuum deaeration can sit within a selected liquid-processing route when oxygen removal is required. Its position and operating conditions should support the complete product process, including how volatile flavour components and foam are managed.
Finish the drawing with treatment, packaging and cleaning
The tubular thermal system provides the selected heating, holding and cooling sequence. Aseptic bag filling follows through a controlled connection for a bulk sterile product route. Cooling, package handling and storage conditions remain part of the finished-product plan.
The process drawing also shows start-up return paths, tank overfill protection, residue removal and CIP supply and return. Open preparation equipment and press belts need accessible cleaning points and drainage outside the closed product circuits.
