Specify the feed and finished ingredient
Agree the feed soluble solids and target concentrate specification. Record density and liquid behaviour where they affect flow, handling and the intended downstream use.
Describe the required colour and sensory properties and the method used to compare them. Concentration changes the liquid; it is not just a smaller storage volume.
Size against water removal and liquid behaviour
Separate feed throughput, concentrate output and water-removal duty. Specify the evaporator arrangement with the way viscosity and deposits change through the run.
Compare heat exposure, vacuum operation, circulation, cleaning and the supporting utility requirements using representative product conditions.
Finish the process boundary
Include concentrate transfer, any selected air-management step, the required treatment and the package interface. Consider production interruptions and how the liquid is held or diverted.
A useful proposal states the supplied equipment boundary and its connections to existing upstream juice production and downstream storage or filling.
